The exceptional value of Elche's Palm Grove has been recognized for the UNESCO when it was declared World's Heritage in 2.000 year. The arab people were who gave the configuration of vegetable garden ready for irrigated, but we know that are there since prehistoric age. The integration of the palms in the city makes Elche a countryside of unic beauty, and an example of conservation and protection. But the Palm Grove, with his more than 200.000 specimens, is not the only natural area in Elche. Elche coast counts with 9km of beaches exceptionally kept, of his fine sands and crystalline water. This converts it in an ideal place to pass some days to rest next to the sea. And besides, counts with protected spaces with high ecologic value, like "El Parque Natural de El Hondo", or "El Clot de Galvany", endowed with a Nature's class-room for activities.
